As you can see from my beach makeup post yesterday, my hair naturally has a slight wave to it. It can be unruly on a good day. Add the sun, wind, and sand of the beach and it can be kind of a nightmare.
Alas, there's not much that can be done other than to go with the flow. My answer: pin back bangs with a bobby pin, spritz with a few pumps of Bumble and bumble surf spray, and call it a day. Ignore any sunscreen that gets into your hair, too, because you know it's inevitably going to happen. If it's too windy, pull everything up into a bun. The messy bun is the answer to all of life's bad hair situations, isn't it?
I love that this spray can be used on both wet and dry hair. Even if you're going nowhere near the ocean, it helps add just a bit of volume and hold while embracing the naturally messy look. If you're really going for some beachy waves for a night out, for example, you can use a diffuser to get that I-just-got-back-from-beach look.
