Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice (Part 1)

Recently, we went to the Container Store to pick up some new items for our kitchen. We found quite a few things that were perfect for the renovated space, including some American-made products. These glass containers are a nice addition to our new space.

Perfect for more than a handful of cinnamon sticks, this 8 oz. straight-sided glass jar (on the left) with metal screw-top lid help to keep its contents fresh. The wide diameter provides easy access to the contents. I definitely would like to pick up a few more in different sizes for some of my other spices. These would be great for storage in any crafts room, office, shop, or garage.

These pretty glass jars from Libbey have an airtight seal. Available in several sizes that are just the right shape and size for sugar, spices, and even larger items like pasta or grains. My husband uses the larger one (in the center) to store his sugar substitute for his coffee and fits right in on the counter next to the coffeemaker. The 4.5 oz. one (on the right) holds several whole nutmeg.
