American-Made Tabletop

These handcrafted items are from Catherine's Table, featuring American-made items for your table and kitchen. They carry the work of artisans and craftspeople from all over the U.S. Here are just a few beautiful things:

1. Nesting Lotus Bowls (Whitney Smith; Oakland, CA; shown above) -- I love the color and design of these jade green nesting stoneware bowls. A great idea for anyone who lives in a small home but loves to entertain.

2. Heart Design Chopsticks (MoonSpoon; Kempton, PA) -- An upgrade from the bamboo throwaway chopsticks from your sushi takeout. These ones are laser etched solid cherry with an understated heart design.

3. American Modern Pitcher (Bauer Pottery) -- This modern white pitcher is designed by Russell Wright. I love the clean, sleek profile. Perfect for serving orange juice at a brunch or holding a bouquet of brightly color tulips.

4. Scallop Design Linen Napkins (Bonnie Kaye Whitfield and Susan Dreifus; Philadelphia, PA) -- These screenprinted napkins come in a set of four. They can be used as dinner napkins, cocktails napkins, or put into a lunchbox for a more grownup lunch at work.

5. Black Walnut and Spalted Maple Tray (Spencer Peterman; Gill, MA) -- This serving tray celebrates the unique grain patterns in the maple bottoms. Tongue-and-groove sides, 18 inches long, treated with beeswax and mineral oil, and handles make this great for serving at a large family gathering.

  1. I want that serving tray! That's going to look perfect in my kitchen once it is renovated.

    1. Heidi, I think what I like most about it is the size and the simple beauty. A wood tray will go with almost any decor and any occasion.
