Kansas City and the Belfry


On this year's trip to Kansas City, my friend Josh and I made a great discovery... The Belfry, a new bar located in the Crossroads. We loved it so much we went five of the eight nights we were in town. And on our final night, a beer dinner pairing the fine food of Celina Tio and beers of Jolly Pumpkin brewery.

The Busy Bee


Spring is here! The honey bees are getting busy. I've been a busy bee myself, hence why I haven't had the chance to post as often as I'd like. Quite fittingly, I've been obsessed with products made from honey. I've been getting raw, local honey from my farmers' market but I also keep seeing lots of things made from honey or bee-related. My husband and I have, as least lately, been giving each other lots of food and beverage boozy gifts. I'm not sure what that says about us, but I've been liking it. It's a consumable gift. It's something we both enjoy. It's usually something we wouldn't have bought for ourselves.
