Rosy and Cheeky

Two of my current makeup favorites:

Jane Iredale PurePressed Blush in Cheekie -- My sensitive skin is aggravated by most blushes on the market. It's really disappointing because there are so many powder blushes that I'd love to be able to wear. Fortunately, I have discovered that the Jane Iredale mineral blushes do not irritate my skin and the colors suit me well. Unfortunately, they are some of the priciest ones I've tried. (My grandmother always did tell me I had expensive taste, right?) This matte "soft pink violet" shade is a recent purchase and it's the one that I've been reaching for most often these days to help give my winter pale cheeks a little flush of rosy color.

NARS Sheer Lipstick in Damage -- I found this beautiful shade from NARS (of course... one of my favorites for lipstick) while searching for the perfect rosy lip color. They market it as a "muted grape" but on me it's more of a rose-colored pink with plummy undertones. I love the formula on these sheer lipsticks. They've got a creamy, smooth, moisturizing feel. The coverage is sheer with one coat or more opaque with multiple coats. On me, this slightly glossy hue is just a natural punch of color. As you can see, my tube is well used. If I have to travel light, this is usually the one lipstick I pack.
