There is one product in the United States that is still 100% American-made, one of our top exports, and coveted all over the world. In fact, most of this product in existence right now (as much as two-thirds) is exported. And demand is still growing. Do you know what it is?
It's the $100 bill. (Those of you who read this post back in April are likely not surprised.) Today marks the debut of the new, more colorful redesign of the bill. Added is a Liberty bell in an inkwell and a highly-visible 3D security ribbon to the front. It also features a color-shifting number 100 on the front, portrait watermark, security thread, raised printing, enlarged 100 in gold ink on the back, and lots of microprinting (some of which had been in previous versions). This design is enhanced to make it easier for people to recognize authentic bills and harder for counterfeiters to replicate.
While I like the addition of color to the bill, I'm not sure I like the overall design. What do you think?

I'm excited to get to see one in circulation. I asked my boss when we can expect to see them in, unfortunately it won't be until someone brings it in... :(
