I headed over to the Brooklyn bakery location for Junior's yesterday to make sure I got my pumpkin cheesecake in time for my guests tomorrow. This pumpkin version of Junior's famous cheesecakes is still just as smooth and creamy as the original, but has a subtle hint of pumpkin and cinnamon. It's not so in-your-face as some of the "pumpkin spice" of this season, but still has a nod to autumn. I'll be serving tomorrow with a dollop of maple whipped cream.
While some of the cheesecakes are made right at the Brooklyn location, these pumpkin ones are made at their factory in Queens. Feeling a little dessert envy? NYC locals, head over early to the Brooklyn or Manhattan locations to get yours (there's no doubt going to be long lines to get one). Not in New York and still wanting some treats from Junior's? You can order your own pumpkin cheesecake from their online store. I have used this to send cheesecakes to my non-New York family and they really do taste just as good as the ones straight from the shop.
Junior's also carries a large variety of pies, cakes, and cookies. They have locations in Times Square, Grand Central Station, and at Foxwoods Casino in CT.
