A scandalous red lip? Don't worry, this post is safe to open... even at work.

Author/illustrator Elicia Castaldi Kokakis is here modeling Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics' Lip Tar in NSFW. Normally, she is a neutral lip kind of girl. After receiving this as a holiday gift this past year, however, she's been wearing it everywhere from the beach to brunch to the bar. Honestly, Elicia could wear anything and make it look great, but I agree that this color is perfect.

This lip product applies with a brush, much like a gloss, but wears like a lipstick. The Lip Tars come in a vast array of other shades as well with fun names like Hoochie, Stalker, Black Dahlia, and Anime. The super-saturated color, longwear formula, and all-natural ingredients are some of the reasons it has a cult following. They are available from OCC's website as well as the more mainstream Sephora.

Elicia's advice for a budge-proof red lip: Apply lip balm and some waterproof lip liner prior to applying. Just a teeny, tiny amount of the Lip Tar is needed. A little goes a long way!
